The flagship projects in Samia include the rehabilitation and installation of a hybrid pumping system at Mujuru water supply and the construction of a smallholder irrigation scheme at Ludacho. The Sub County was also a beneficiary of the Kenya Devolution Support Programme with phase one of Madivira water supply already complete while the expansion of Busijo water supply is ongoing; not forgetting the Alema solar, Namudiri, and Onana water projects executed through the partnership between the County Government and USAID. The flagship project in Bunyala is the rehabilitation and installation of a hybrid pumping system at Bulemia water project. Others are USAID sponsored Sisenye Water Scheme in Bunyala North which the county has injected Sh16m through the Ward Fund for pipeline extensions. Bunyala Sub County Administrator Nelson Otando lauded the County Government for its unwavering support to the Abanyala community, which was ravaged by floods, saying the gesture will be remembered for a long time.
