PSA Head elected to represent CSOs of Busia County FLLOCA Program

Ms. Pauline Saris was voted to represent the Civil Society Organization (CSO) in the Financing Locally-Led Climate Actions (FLLoCA) program in Busia County.

A process that was conducted via open ballot, saw Ms.Saris, the Executive Director for Pragmatic Social Action a local Non-Government Organization, defeating Mr. Patrick Ikwara of Linda Mazingira Initiative with 85 votes, while Patrick Ikwaras got 14 out of 103 registered votes.

In a decisive election, Ms. Sharon Nabongo one of the candidates did not receive any votes.

The elections overseen by the Director of Climate Change Dan Opilio ensured fairness, credibility, and transparency following the cancellation of earlier elections.

The results were officially announced by the Chief Officer of Environment and Climate Change Mr. John Muroki, confirming Pauline’s significant mandate to represent the CSO in the FLLoCA program.
